  when i joined jwd i still felt the need for a 'support group' and jwd was full of similar people wanting to share their experience.

  now the time has come for me to leave - i am now able to put 35 years of jw living completely out of my head.. .

  many factors have helped me, and jwd was an important part of that, and i will always be grateful to simon for setting up this forum.. .

  now that i can see right through the crap that is the jw religion, i sometimes ask myself - how come you blindly believed all that rubbish for 30 years??!!

  i am so annoyed with myself for that - i have a degree, yet i was totally duped for such a large part of my life.

  and now that i can see how so full of holes it all is, i kick myself for not seeing it before.

  i have noticed that if someone has an opinion that does not go with the flow on this forum they often get insulted and shot down in flames.

  i thought this was a discussion forum, but i am sadly dismayed to read so much intolerance of another's opinion.

  if you appear to support the jw's in any way, even though people like me may disagree with you, you are entitled to your opinion.

  if the one creating a topic is too bored or lazy to write an opening salvo, why bother at all?

  can everything that needs to be said go into the topic heading?

  but i hope it will persuade even one 'interested' one to avoid the jw's - and even get an existing member to think.

  i know someone who has this domain.

  he bought it with the intention of challenging the gb's authority and teachings.

  but, times have changed - he's moved on from the past and thinks he'll never get around to making and maintaining the site.. if you would like this domain name - no charge - tell me why you should be the one to use it.

  The field service report

  whenever i read the bible, about prayers and giving gifts in secret, and not letting the right hand know etc.

  it became clear to me that handing in a report with my name on was unscriptural.

  my elder friend even agreed - but said we gotta do it anyway.
